// DZS Pinhead Gunpowder
Green tea comes from the same plant as white and black teas. Green tea oxidizes longer than white but less than black.
The Pinhead Gunpowder tea we've chosen to represent green teas has beautiful aromatic presence. Gunpowder tea leaves are withered, steamed, rolled, and then dried. The result are small pearls or beads of tea that 'explode' into beautiful, large tea leaves upon steeping.
Dazhangshan (DZS) Mountain can be found in South West China in the Wuyuan County of the Jiang Xi Province, close to the border of Anhui. In this isolated agricultural region, the Dazhangshan Organic Farmers Association has been producing Organic tea since 1997. The tea fields go up to an elevation of 6,600 feet above sea level and produce a range of high quality teas.
We've chosen one green tea to represent all green teas - and there are a lot of green teas. Why did we choose this one? We think of it as a great starting point in getting to know green tea. It's complex and yet easy to brew if you're just starting out with loose leaf teas. If you like green tea, we think you'll really enjoy this one. If you're a seasoned green tea connoisseur, this is the green tea we keep coming back to, and we think you will as well. Here's a great green tea. Enjoy it!
